I grew up in St Kilda, down by the cold Dunedin beach, in one of those houses that’s stood for a hundred years. So I know old homes — how they’re built, how they age, what’s worth holding onto and what’s worth fixing. When I walk through a 1910s villa in Mt Eden, I’m reading the house, not romanticizing it. I know what they’re made of. I also know what it’s like to grow up in one.
I’ve spent most of my life in the driver’s seat. I captained my rugby sides right through my younger years and represented Otago as a teenager, then went out on my own and built a logistics business in the South Island. After that I took the leap to San Francisco and spent a few years selling to tech executives across the US. Different fields, same instinct — I’m at my best when I’m steering, directing calls, and staying calm while I do it.

Running a successful logistics franchise in the South Island at 26.
By 2024 I had been behind a screen at tech companies for 5 years. Good money, comfortable, and increasingly sure it wasn’t me. I wanted to be back on my feet - face to face with people, work with some creativity in it, and the freedom to do it my way.
So I made a deliberate move into real estate in 2025, because timing was never going to be the deciding factor for me. I’ve always been drawn to the harder version of a challenge, not the easier one — and I wanted to learn this trade properly, under real pressure, so that whatever the market’s doing when you call, I’ve already worked it from the ground up.
I won’t quote you a number designed to win your trust today and lose it later.
The most useful thing I do isn’t talking - it’s listening until I genuinely understand what you’re trying to achieve. You won’t get pressure from me, and you’ll never get a hard close. “No” is a perfectly good answer, and I’d rather you tell me straight where you stand than nod along to keep me comfortable. I won’t quote you a number designed to win your trust today and lose it later. If I tell you what your home is worth, that’s genuinely what I believe it will sell for - not what gets you excited enough to sign.
There is one more thing worth knowing. My wife, an Architect by training and now a Creative Director, spent years developing brand and marketing strategy for tech companies in San Francisco. She has great instincts—and she doesn’t let me get away with less.

When neither of us is working, we’re at home being thoroughly outnumbered — two small boys who haven’t worked out personal space yet, and Luna, our endlessly patient British Shorthair who puts up with them like a saint.
Everything I do here, I do for my family. That’s my north star, and it keeps me honest about what matters: getting it right for yours.
